2021 in review. What’s in store for 2022

As 2021 comes to a close, I always like to look back to my successes and challenges from the previous year and look ahead at what is next.

Here are some of my accomplishments in 2021:

  • Accepted as a MCT Regional Lead for two more years
  • MVP awarded for second year
  • MCT renewed
  • Taught 23 MOC classes
  • Created two new Microsoft Cloud Workshops
  • Delivered 8 Fundamentals sessions for Microsoft Student Summits
  • Judge for 2021 Imagine Cup Junior AI for Good
  • Delivered session for Microsoft to the public section on AI and Data
  • SME for Microsoft SCI OpenHack
  • Coached 12+ OpenHacks, Partner events and Microsoft training sessions
  • SME for MSSA curriculum and preparation
  • Part of WWL AZ-700 SME content review team

Changed companies and positions from Cloud Training Architect Lead at Opsgility to Senior Product Manager at Cloudreach. Will be working to continue to make Cloudreach cloud migration services at the top of the industry for customers!

Next up for 2022. I plan to be more active

  • More video content – Planning a new monthly (or if popular, weekly) video series that combines my interest in cloud security with my love of music. More to come in early January.
  • Reboot Gimme Shelter video series for Security exam preparation
  • GCP certifications – Professional Security Engineer, Professional Solutions Architect
  • AWS certifications – Security specialty, Professional Solutions Architect
  • Deliver Azure workshops for Cloud Adoption Framework to business and technical professionals
  • SC-300 and SC-900 Books will be published
  • Community study group and pass the CCSP exam
  • Deliver Microsoft training and coach workshops
  • Reboot the Midwest Azure and M365 User group
  • ….. and much more

I want to thank everyone that made this amazing year happen. Please continue to invite me to participate and share to your user groups, video and podcasts, etc in 2022. I enjoy helping out the Cloud Family and will continue to do so in the coming year(s). Have a Happy and Safe celebration of the new year and see you more in 2022!
